1:1 programmes

The Super Hero Project
A 12 week programme for families with children in the primary and secondary phase. This is an ideal programme for families who want to give their child/ren the knowledge, understanding and skills to navigate challenge. We work with families around a variety of themes including anxiety, challenges around school, confidence building, understanding emotions and behavioural responses, relationship building and resilience. The adults take part in the sessions and lead implementation of the learning between sessions to ensure maximum impact. We cultivate a nurturing and optimistic environment where self-reflection is highly encouraged (by the child and adult), without judgement. Our creative and adaptable approach supports the building of healthy and connected relationships. The programme uses theory and practices from psycho-education, mindfulness, yoga philosophy and neuro-linguisitic programming to create a tool kit of knowledge and skills. This empowers us to deal with challenge. Sessions are 1:1 and are tailored to meet the needs of the family.
Community Programmes

Mindset Training Through Yoga
A community programme (working with a few families in a group), focusing on emotional and social development. We introduce, develop, and enhance the skills of resilience including; self awareness, an ability to ask for help, taking responsibility for brain health and wellbeing, identifying emotions, knowing and using strategies to self-regulate, trusting others, having a sense of control and helpful self-beliefs and perceptions. We give opportunities for families to cultivate environmental factors that promote resilience. For example we promote a supportive and collaborative environment; we give a sense of purpose and autonomy; we create an environment where it is safe to take risks and ask for help and we share positive and ‘growth' focused feedback. This is modelled by our teachers so the adults learn just as much as the children. Helpful tools are shared, to be practised at home each week. The learning is taught through yoga activities, team work, stories and games. Programmes are advertised on the Anchor and Bounce Facebook and Instagram pages and here on our events page on the website.

Big Feelings, Brave Minds
Big Feelings, Brave Minds
An introductory workshop ideal for families and community groups (like Scouts) who are interested in understanding more about how to support the emotional and social development of their child. Through games, stories, team activities, creative play and reflections; children and their parents learn about emotional and behavioural reactions to challenges and tools to self and co-regulate. They learn the importance of a proactive approach and what to do in those 'wobble' moments. Suggestions of further implementation is shared. With our therapeutic and creative approach, parents learns just as much from this as the children! Brainology can be delivered as tailored 1:1 sessions or within a community setting with a group of families. Contact us to find out more.

Zen Den
An enrichment club, ideal as part of community groups, where the children take part in creative challenges to form a tool kit of resources they can use to self-regulate, plan for the day ahead or use as reminders of a helpful mindset. You'll see the resources they bring home, but you won't see the learning journey they take to get there - whether that's overcoming a hurdle, working as a team, asking for help, problem solving, having self-control, learning from mistakes or accepting 'good enough'.
Parents

The 'Big A' Anxiety Workshop - Parents
An online course focusing on anxiety. This is the ideal starting point for parents who are committed to learn ways to support a child experiencing anxiety.

A Mindful Approach to Behaviour & Regulation - Parent Coaching
This is a coaching programme for parents focusing on creating change in the home. We support parents who want to understand a child's emotional or behavioural responses; who want to learn ways to support a child; how to respond when conflict arises and how to proactively reduce those 'rahhhh' moments. A home life where there is calm starts with the adults! Families we have previously worked with have focused on challenges like getting to school, bedtime, homework, building relationships, listening to instructions, taking medicine, tidying their room, screen time and sibling disputes.
